My Dream Man
Thought of you running through my head
And to hear your voice
Hoping that you are near

Oh Man, I Do Feel Old
Sitting here looking out my window
Watching people walk by
Wondering where they are going
And why I'm not going to
But with the gas prices so high
It is so hard to have the money
To go to work
Much less go out to see the world
Missing so much the life I had
Growing up a military brat
Moving from place to place
Somewhere new, somewhere different
Some not as fun as others
But then other as fun as can be
Now I feel that life is passing me by
Wanting what I always hated growing up
Longing to see the world again
To show my children the good things
The good things I had as a child
The thing I thought were stupid
But that I would give anything to be able to do again
But that is the price of growing up
We still have fun
Just in a different way
Not the care free way
Not the way the kids outside my window now play
Oh man, do I feel old now!

Five Years Ago
Do you remember where you were?
Five years ago today
When the world was crushed
Crushed by the news
That the Twin Tower had fallen
When the world was awaken
Awaken to the fact
That we were not as safe as we thought
That day we received blow
That will never be forgotten

And everything we believe in
This morning I remember
The people who died
In the Towers and on the planes
And the ones that fight for us now
And the ones who have died
For our freedom
Five years ago today
They thought us weak
They caught us by surprise

What they think now

We light up their world like the 4th of July
Now on this day
Five years later
We honor the heroes
Who died that day
And the ones in days since
And to all that still fight

For all that they have given

One Year Older
Where does the time go?
Next month I will be a year olderI have been told
That every life experience shapes us
From the good to the bad
From the love lost and love gains
To the friend who come and go
To family who we love or don’t love
Those who love us
The ones that are always there

And even the ones that lost that trust
I believe this in it whole
